At 1874m the Jenner is
THE ski mountain for
the region. The
Jenner-Summit offers
a lovely view of the steep Eastern face of the Watzmann and Lake
Königssee. The Jennerbahn, a cable car, transports Hikers and Skiers alike from Schönau on
Lake Königssee over a distance
of 3320m to the summit plateau within 20 minutes. In summer there is a walk from there to the summit. Further tracks lead to the Schneibsteinhaus or to the Stahlhaus.

few exceptions (Kehlsteinllinie, Erlebnisbus, Bechtesgaden-Salzburg,
Rossfeld (Maut) and the Nachtschwärmer – these services have separate charges)

When Berchtesgaden was Prince Probstei
only few people were allowed to visit the salt mines. Nowadays everybody can come and find out about the White Gold, its origin and how it is extracted in its raw state. It is a fascinating world for Young and Old.
